Ericeira – Digital Nomad Guide

Ericeira sits on a wild basalt coastline north of Lisbon, declared a World Surfing Reserve for the eight world-class breaks lined up within a few kilometers of its whitewashed clifftop center. Surf shops outnumber bakeries on Rua de Sao Pedro, Coxos and Ribeira d'Ilhas pull crowds for the winter swell, and post-surf life revolves around the leitao sandwich counters and ginja shots at the corner tascas. The fishing-village core retains weather-worn azulejo tiles and tight cobbled lanes, while newer co-living villas have spread inland to handle the digital nomad influx. Lisbon is forty-five minutes by bus, summer crowds get genuinely intense, and the cost has crept up sharply since 2020. Still the natural choice for anyone whose calendar is ruled by tides and offshore wind forecasts.
